Interview a 2012 CNN Hero

2012 CNN Hero

From children to adults, we all love our heros! This year’s Silent Auction gives you the unique opportunity to bid on an interview with a real-life hero.

Lake Mary Police Officer Zachiary Hudson was chosen as a 2012 CNN Hero for his outstanding contributions to Florida senior citizens. He was also honored with the 2010 Police Service Award at the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) convention, and featured in a Parade magazine article.

Appalled by the living conditions of senior citizens he encountered, Officer Hudson took action. In 2009, he founded the Seniors Intervention Group (SIG), a non-profit organization dedicated to sustaining and improving the quality of life for our elderly citizens. Since its inception, SIG has assisted almost 1,000 seniors.

Officer Hudson has donated two hours of his valuable time to be interviewed by a high bidder at the Silent Auction. With his extensive background in law enforcement, as well as his accomplishments in community service, Zach Hudson is a plethora of information for writers. You could use him as a resource for your own novel. Or perhaps your interview will result in writing an article about Officer Hudson for a magazine. You and Zach will determine your best avenue for capitalizing on this opportunity.

So, be sure to visit the Silent Auction Room at this year’s FWA Convention to bid on the interview with Officer Hudson, as well as the myriad of other donations.
